You get a better idea of how much snow is on the rooves.
Snow is pretty much an industry there. And snoveling the
snow off rooves is quite dangerous. the day before we left
a worker fell off a roof of a hotel while shoveling snow. He
was supposed to use to carabiners on his rope but he was
only using one. He had been warned by other workers to
use two carabiners. When he went to more the one on the
rope he slipped, falling off the roof and landing about 60 feet
down and hitting another roof and killing him.
